Finale of Com322

Project #1 entailed creating a resume. The piece is lacking color even in its second submission, however the use of a geometric aspect of the horizontal line across the middle draws attention from the audience. Placement for education is placed un even and creates a wonky sense.

Project #2 was the poster project. The use of protestors with fists raised and the coined phrase "Hear our voices" compels the audience to read the billboard that will lead them to the cause. The placement of "Hear our voices" could have been placed better in regards to the sign that takes up most space in the poster. The use of red and blue mimics the Puerto Rican Flag along with the triangle to the right of the page and their flag.

Project #3 was the brochure. Crash Course Cooking: edition Picnic. Scrapbook style was the choice to embody a picnic. Throwing snapshots and cut out pictures to add onto the red and white of a picnic blanket created a "homey" feel to the brochure. Using "pic" several times throughout the brochure used repetition well throughout and kept it light hearted.

Project #4 A- Postcard. Representing herself, Alicia used quirk to slowly introduce herself and her passions. The light yellow contrasted with the complexion of her hair uses soothing colors. The addition of the slight gradient of greenery behind the text is light enough for the audience to read and adds an extra part of personality to the piece. The body copy would be stronger if it was spaced out more.

#4 B- Logo. Created for her brother, Alicia created a logo for a company called "Lima Charlie Audio" which is a production company. Using drawn shapes was a risky move that made the design relaxed as the spot colors of purple and orange bounced back and fourth for the fill in of text. Encompassed in the shape of a guitar pick, the design uses a playful narrative but the break in the shape for the "C" in Charlie breaks up the illustration and is appealing to the eye.
